By utilizing high resolution soft X-ray above several hundred eV, bulk
sensitive studies of electronic structures near the Fermi level became
feasible. In many strongly correlated electron systems, genuine bulk
electronic structures are gradually unravelled. The essential differences of
the newly available spectra from former results are discussed for the cases
of vanadium and Cu oxides as well as for Kondo resonance behavior of some Yb
and Ce compounds.
