We form a bulgeless dwarf disk galaxy with linearly rising rotation
curve in a full hydrodynamic cosmological galaxy formation simulation.
The importance of feedback and the ability to better resolve star
forming regions are highlighted. Implications for the next generation
of Milky Way simulations are then discussed, and results from the
latest, highest resolution simulated Milky Way galaxy are presented. A
theme will be the relative importance of accreted versus in situ
populations for each of the main components of the Milky Way.
