The Particle Spectrum of N=4 d=4 Gauge Theory and (p,q) Webs
Barak Kol
The masses and spins of stable particles in 4d N=4 spontaneously broken SU(N_c) are discussed. For N_c<=3 the spectrum is BPS, and can be described by string webs. The webs exhibit walls of marginal stability and enable the counting of fermionic zero modes which carry spin. For N_c>=4 the webs are generically non-BPS, and their masses are unknown, but they can be continously connected to BPS webs. Mathematical implications are mentioned.
